For remote addresses, particularly in rural and northern parts of Canada, it can often be difficult to carry out mail delivery as these areas are commonly isolated and have limited transportation links. To compensate for this, carriers will charge additional transportation and handling fees to remote areas. Delivery times can sometimes take longer to these areas for the same reasons.
These added transportation fees will have an impact on postage costs. For this reason, you may see an increase in postage for shipments to these areas.
Canada Post, our partner carrier for deliveries in Canada, considers the following destinations to be remote:
- Newfoundland
- Northwest Territories
- Nunavut
- Yukon
For all other delivery addresses in Canada, pricing for our Chit Chats Canada Tracked service is determined by the weight and dimensions of the shipment.
- ON: $8.00 per piece plus $2.20 per kg
- AC, BC & QC: $8.00 per piece plus $2.50 per kg
- AB: $10.50 per piece plus $2.50 per kg
