Import orders from your Shopify store into Chit Chats
Integrate one or more Shopify stores to your Chit Chats account and import your shipments into Chit Chats in 4 easy steps. Plus, Chit Chats automatically sends tracking back to your customer as soon as postage is purchased.
Note: Importing your orders does not select or buy postage for you. If a particular shipping method is indicated in your store, this information will not be carried in to Chit Chats. After importing, you must go to pending and select, buy and print your postage.
Step 1: Go to Settings (bottom-left) > Click Sales Channels > Click 'Connect Shopify Store' > Enter your store URL.
Note: This should be your admin URL e.g. mystore.myshopify.com.
Step 2: Make sure you are logged into your Shopify store account. Install the Chit Chats app.
Step 3: Go back to your Chit Chats account and click the black Import button (top-left) > Select Import orders from Shopify Store.
This will display your unshipped Shopify orders that are ready to be imported. You can import all orders or select the shipments that you wish to import.
Shipment weights will be imported if available. You may have to update the dimensions by either using shipping presets or edit shipment details before you complete your import to update any missing information.
Step 4: After your import has finished, you can go to your Pending tab to review your imported shipments. This is where you will be able to pay for your shipments and print postage.
Congratulations! You have just connected your Shopify store with Chit Chats and imported your first round of shipments.
You can choose when to fulfill your Shopify orders and mark them as shipped with the choice of sending Chit Chats tracking or carrier tracking back to your store. Your customers will receive an email like the below. If you have multiple fulfillment locations saved in your Shopify settings, the Chit Chats platform will not be able to determine which to send notifications back to and an error will be produced. You may need to manually fulfill your shipments in this case. Learn more on how you can change your store fulfillment settings.
